Profile Geometry Points of Superimposed Profile to Alignment Label

I have an alignment label that I normally use to show the PVI's of a profile in the plan view.

This is a little unusual, but in a specific case I wanted to design my profile at one alignment, but show it at another.  I designed my swale profile in the pathway profile view and then superimposed the swale profile on the swale profile view.  I then went back to the swale alignment to add these labels.

It's a no-go AFAICT.  The only profile available for me to select for these labels is the original ground profile from the surface.

Any thoughts?

I think you are correct with your assessment  I could see a problem with labeling, e.g.,  Sta 1+00 on one profile would probably not be Sta 1+00 on the other, thus leading to complaints of "mis-labeling".

You did not mention adding a profile reference component to your lable style. You should be able to do this and then select the desired profile.

Joe,

The label style, although you can add a reference to another profile, will only lable the profile geometry points of the profile associated with that alignment. In other words, you can label that other profiles information but, you can't tell it to label at the geometry points of that other profile.

Hey, thanks for coming in on the weekend guys!

What you're saying is making sense.  My labels that come in at regular stations work, and the ones at horizontal PI's work.  Both of these are reference text, as Joe suggested.  The ones designed for Vertical PI's don't work, as Brian said.  I guess I shouldn't be too surprised about that considering that the superimposed profile can't even label PVI's or Grade labels in profile view either.
