Scott,
This certainly will work, but it's not dynamic in the style. I am doing the
same thing now except with simple polylines. The problem is all the
updating when the alignments change. There are plines all over the place.
It would be cool if a person could imbed a dynamic block in the style
itself. At least then the block would move with the changes. One would
only need to "stretch" some grips, perhaps to adjust the jog.

Let C3D create the line and the text. Place the text where you want, insert
a "jogline" dynamic block at the end of the line and size accordingly...

Hi all,
It seems C3D does not have a way to draw JOG lines in the profiles. It has
been my experience, that when labeling crossing pipes and other items of
interest in a profile, the text always conflicts with other text and must be
"offset". Then, a line would be drawn vertical from the entitiy, "jogged",
then resume the vertical as an underline to the repositioned text. This is
very standard.
So far the only way I have seen that a jog can be created is by puttings
"lines" in the style and manually creating offset values so the lines appear
in the correct place. Since this is "static" rather than dynamic, there
must be a style created for every different instance of the jogs.
I know there is a leader for the dragged state of the label, but that is not
the same as the jog I have described above. It seems to me this should be a
no-brainer as this is normal, standard procedure for profiles and cross
sections.
Am I missing something or does this ability simply no exist in C3D?
Anyone, please advise.
Bruce
