I am working in Civil 3D 2011. All of the required updates and service packs have been installed. I also had Autodesk Vault 2011 installed prior to downloading the SAC. Once I realized the SAC installer would not work with Vault, I uninstalled that program as well. I then attempted to install the SAC, which did appear to install on my machine. However, when I attempted to open Civil 3D after the installation, it would shut down before completely opening. I tried to repair and reinstall Civil 3D with no luck. It wasn't until I uninstalled the SAC that I was able to open Civil 3D. At this point, I am operating under those circumstances, without the SAC being installed. Does anybody know how I can get the SAC on my machine and operational with Civil 3D? Or, why the two do not seem to be working together? Also, I guess I should mention that I am using a 64-bit OS and that all installations were performed using that software requirement. I would really appreciate any help provided, because I really have a need for the Subassembly Composer.
It sounds as if there are some installation issues going on - the SAC install drops some support files in your Civil 3D program folder as well. We are currently looking into a few similar issues - can you log this as a support request via Subscription Center so I can get it in front of our install and licensing team?
Jason,
I doubt I will be able to do this. Our company has a coprorate subscription which I do not have the login rights to. I would need to have an IT admin to log the request for me, which may take some doing.
