Problem with add Corridaor datume surface boundary at corridor propertyies

I have created a datum surface from corridor properties dialog box. Now I want to add a surface boundary using Add Automatically and select Daylight, them I got a error message saying "Mask '1' NOT added to corridor surface 'XXXX- Datum' as boundary due to crossing polygon", please see attached screen shot for the error message and Zoom In of the problem area.

I used this method before had no problem. After I only used Polygon to smooth the existing ground surface, I found this problem, then I removed the " smooth surface" edit of existing ground surface. I still couldn't add on the datum surface boundary.

Where is the crossing polygon? Any help are appreciated. Many thanks.

I've seen that problem. I believe one time it was when I tried to use an Offset Alignment, and the Offset Alignment was going in the opposite direction from my Baseline Alignment. Then I seem to remember another time where I couldn't ever figure out what Civil 3D was complaining about, and I drew the boundary in manually.
