In 2010 and earlier versions when I keyed-in my command alias for NCOPY (NC), I would get predictable behavior. Then in 2011, I would get different behavior depending on whether I keyed-in NC, or NCOPY. If Keying in NCOPY I would get what seems to be the options for the new NCOPY command, but entering just NC I would get the older version of NCOPY. Now in 2012, if I enter NC, I get this error: "Error: no function definition: C:NCOPY". I can only use the command by entering the full command name.
Has anyone else encountered this behavior?
Thanks
You apparently do not have NC set as a shortcut for NCOPY. NCOPY is a utility that is in Express Tools.

I should have clarified that I do have the command alias entered correctly in the PGP file.
Thanks
The express tools look for the acad.pgc which is edited in the express tool - alias editor, I had this issue last week, with a command. I believe the PGC file orverrides the PGP

You may find that you have revised the wrong acad.pgp file. Run this in the command line:
(findfile "acad.pgp")
The above locates the acad.pgp that program is using.

I don't see any of this behavior in 2012 SP 2.1. So I'd agree that there is something different in your alias. Do you have any 3rd party programs installed that might affect it?

I think you may be on to something. My ACAD.PGC does not have an entry for NCOPY. I will have someone from IT add it for me so I can est it. When NCOPY was an express tool, it was included in TREXBLK.LSP, the code was at the very bottom of the routine. In the version of TREXBLK.LSP that is included with 2012, the NCOPY code has been removed.
As a side note, if I change the alias from NC to NCP, it works as expected.
Thanks
