Preaching to the Choir

A lot of the people who read this newsgroup have been using this product and have a vision of how it can transform their business.
We have now gotten to the point where it's getting deployed, as rabidly as we can, to all of our Civil users.
It's not easy, it's expensive, But in our judgment it's worth it.
It's really tough if you are trying to do it yourself.
We didn't.
There are a lot of resources available out there.
Many blogs.
The Civil Community group.
If you play your cards right you can get access to Manchester.
They really are interested in what you do.
To James, Jason, Dana, Angel, Danny, Scott, Dan and Dave, AG, NickZ,Peter Funk,Jon Rizzo, John Mayo, RickGraham, MMcCall, sinc, Laurie, Rad, Trevor, All of your stuff has been listened to, granted some of is crap, but thanks guys.

Always happy to be thanked for providing crap 😉

Glad to hear your deployment's moving on well.

And thanks for your input too, JP. Heaven knows I've benefited from it often enough, and I don't even use Vault.

I'd like to thank everyone for reading my crap. I do the best to write quality crap, even if it is sometimes especially crappy.

Just remember this motto when learning Civil 3D

"The problems are between the seat and the keyboard"

I am quite proud of the crap I generate, and I especially appreciate when it
is acknowledged as such. 😉

Dana - related to your quote, I was in a training class recently somebody
mentioned that their biggest problem is not hardware or software, it's
warmware. 🙂

I'm sensing a degree of sarcasm is that statement. 😉

I attend quite a lot of training, actually. Autodesk University, to name
one. I deal with way too many many evolving and emerging technologies to
keep up with all of them on my own. In addition, Langan provides a
significant amount of in-house training to share knowledge internally. We
even host graduate level college courses in our training facility.

For those interested, Jon's company has a real nice write up in the current
issue of CE News.
(I hope the magazine name is correct.)

Really? I know there was a writeup about a year or two ago, but I haven't
seen anything recent. We did receive a "Top 10" mention in their "Best
Firms to Work For" contest, but that was back in October.

Yup, drank quite a few beers with Rizz in Vegas. Almost drank enough
to get him to code some complex rail stuff for a client of mine 😉

I am honored to be mentioned as one of the crap contributors! 😉 I've DUMPED
here many times and left my mark (stain) in this DG. And finally, I thought
the absolute BEST AU information I received this year was held at stall #4
3rd level-right! 😉

I was willing, but I never heard back from the guy. I am currently working
on a rail subassembly that superelevates properly, but I'm doing that one in
my "spare time" (whatever that is). I'll let you know!

I'm thinking there's a lot of territory betwixt the Keyboard and Chair that
doesn't have very much to do with Civil 3D. 😉

Was that a Freudian slip between rapidly and rabidly?

What John fails to mention is that I think the fun has only begun with our deployment and training efforts. I imagine that we will both be hanging out a lot in here for both moral and technical support. Thanks in Advance.
