Pipe network and plan production issue

We have a design file where our sanitary sewer pipe network plan and profile is created.  New 12" pipe and 48" structures (manholes); and some exisitng sanitary main and manholes as well.  All seems to appear correct in that file.  Plan production was used to generate p/p sheets which split the plan and profile information on to 3 sheets all in one file.  Issue: a 12" proposed pipe and 8" existing pipe in the base drawing appears as a 4" pipe in the PLAN VIEW of the p/p sheets created through plan production.  The settings are changed to a 12" in the sheets BUT every time there is an update and the files synchronize, the sheets resort back to the 4" pipe in the plan view.  The profile seems to remain correct for the pipes.  There is one existing manhole that shows as a 'proposed' (hatched) manhole in the profile.  It can be changed but reverts to hatched on synchronization as well.  We are having this issue with 2 different projects, 2 different computers, one network, Civil 3D 2014.  Any thoughts?  Thanks!
