Pipe catalogue error - "structure size does not exist"

See attached png.  Has anyone had this
problem?  I looked at my catalogue and it appears that the structure size
does exist and that the correct network parts list is referenced.  Only one
structure is providing the error so far.  I'll just erase/replace, but I
don't want all of my structures to suddenly go missing due to this unexplained
error.

I think with Civil 3D, unexplained error messages are becoming a way of life. I get alot of messages like that, and they never amount to anything. I'd suggest just keep working.

Yes, Wesley, I am getting the same message.
Glad someone asked, I have been ignoring it, but was sure I had done something
wrong.  Seems strange I am using a pre-defined manhole and get a message
like that.

At your command line type PARTCATALOGREGEN, select the pipes options and
when they're finished select the structures.

That worked. Thanks. Is the error due to 2008 install therefore parts
catalogue needs a regen?

Not exactly sure, but I had a colleague provide me with some additional
parts and this was the way to rebuild the catalog.

do you have a custom part in your catalog? this error is due to a problem with the equations used to define the part. There is a conflict with the calcs (a circular ref, or something like that).

Error was specifying that a "structure size does not exist". I have no
custom structure parts or sizes. Catalogue regen solved this problem. I
had never seen the error message before our change from 2007 to 2008 and
have no further explanation.

some weird thing happened.
if i go through toolspace into the setting tab, to the pipe network, parts list, i have all my pipes and structures.
if i go into the drawing, right click on a pipe pr structure and try to swap part, it is BLANK.
any idea whats happening here ?

I haven't encountered that problem. I would check that the catalogue is
pathed correctly and do a catalogue regen (PARTCATALOGREGEN).

I think if I saw the file I would remember how I resolved the issue.

Anyhow, a temporary fix, you could create a new parts list, add the parts you want to swap to.

Then you may need to set the pipe network to the new parts list. Which is in network properties, the layout settings tab and there you will find the associated parts list.

After that, when you swap parts it should appear.

Let me know if that helps.

swapping many parts? i guess than it won't work so well.
hmmm, i only had a few to do, so it worked for me, it swapped all manholes at once.
