Pipe Structure Label

Trying to setup pipe structure labels similar to the way the company "has always done them".  I'm having trouble with the leader appearance in the dragged state.  On the attached image the top is what I'm getting, the bottom is what I want.  Can this be done?

Yeah it can be done, your image shows the leader going to the text, you must have your block achored to your text (middle center).  Try anchoring your text to the block and set the attahcment point on the block to middle right.  That way the leader will go to the block.  That label will be used for label being placed to the left of the structure.  Make a copy of the label and adjust the attachement point on the block to middle left, this label will be placed on the right of the structure.  Make sure your dragged state display is set to As Composed.
