Pipe Networks Vertical Alignment Editing

When editing a vertical pipe alignment is there a way to lock a structure or pipe so it does not change?  Also is there a way to drop a part of a network a certain distance.   I have 5 pipes in a network that I want to drop exactly 3', is there an easy way to do this?

To adjust pipes vertically, just use the MOVE command, select the pipes, and choose the Displacement option. So for lowering them 3' it would be 0,0,-3
