Pipe Network starting invert

How can I start a new pipe network with a given starting elevation?

Also is there a way to start a new pipe network connecting to a different older pipe network but starting at the same elevation as the older pipe network?

I know I can set rules when i start a new network for the segements to match inverts, keep a minimum slope, etc... when laying out this new pipe network but I dont think it works when trying to use the information from this network to match invert to a new network.

Please let me know.

Thank you.

You cannot connect to parts in a different network.
As for a starting invert ? .... Unless ther is a transparent or keyboard option I don't think you can
