Pipe Network not working

My pipe network has stopped working properly.  When pipes/parts list/edit is selected the edit menu does not appear. When I try to make a new pipe network I get a warning that the program cannot find the parts list catalog.

"Parts in the selected part list cannot be found in the current catalog.  To make these parts available: Select a different part list or Select the correct catalog"

If I try to add a parts list the program is not saving the list.  All these issues started a couple of days ago.

Any chance you are trying to edit a data referenced network instead of the network in the source drawing?

I am trying to create a pipe network within a drawing.  When I select a polyline a structure is drawing at both ends but no pipe.

And is the expected "Pipe Network Catalog"  mapped?

Home Tab_Create Design Panel_Flyout_Set Pipe Network Catalog.

Yes,

I checked to make sure the pipe network is mapped correctly

When I try to make a pipe network after the step to accept flow direction a series of messages shows

"Unable to load part family" for each catalog.

"All these issues started a couple of days ago."

So what's changed in that time?

Are you in the same file it worked in previously?

Is it specific to this dwg or will it work in another new dwg?

Crash?

I have been working on three different projects.  The Autocad has crashed a couple of times.  I am always careful to make sure the at data shorcuts folder is properly set for each project.

Hi rcallison,

Typically this issue is caused by the part you are trying to create new pipe network does not exist in the location determined by the command SETNETWORKCATALOG. See if it points to the place where your parts list is.

Another possibility is that for some reason you do not have full permissions to the location of the part catalog. Verify that too, by trying to create file or folder in there.

One more thing to check is to ensure you have regenerated your catalog with the command PARTCATALOGREGEN.

I hope this helps.

Did this issue get resolved?

We are having a similar issue with pipe networks not being able to be edited. It seems that it could be a version issue, as the dwg and pipe network were originally set up in ACAD2018, but when opened in ACAD 2022 it automatically duplicates the pipe network and loses all ability to edit pipe networks. It treats the pipe network as a data reference, even though we are in the source dwg. When saved in 2022, it was like this when opened in any version. When restored file to original format, the file worked properly... as long as we didn't open it in 2022.

There has to be or needs to be a fix for this.... any leads?

Thanks.
