Pipe Network > Profile Label Placement

Civil 3D 2013, SP2

Settings > Pipe Network > Right Click > Edit Feature Settings > Default Profile Label Placement, gets you to this point:

Does the highlighted line only apply at the time that the label is placed?  I have multiple sewers to label and I want to each set of labels at a different elevation. Can anyone confirm that changing this default will have NO effect on existing labels?

TIA.

I would go into the command settings and change this. That way it is only for newly created objects.

For fun I would copy the file and try it. The heading does read, 'Placement'. That would lead me tho think existing data was safe. I would still normally do this in the command settings.

John, it's working OK so far. I'm just looking to head off any surprises.

I would hate to open up a profile drawing next week and the labels are all out of place 🙂
