Part Masking Troubles

Hello,
I have created a structure style to represent a water meter. I created a block for the water meter and whenever I enable part masking, it doesn't mask the incoming water line completely. When I disable part masking it works as expected. I tried making the block to different insertion scales (fixed, user, etc.) but changing these often creates other problems with having the block display correctly.

Could it be with how the block was defined that is creating the trouble? Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

it is usually because the underlying structure isnt big enough. part
masking only masks within the limits of the part itself.
