Parcels elevation according to corridor levels ??

Hello everyone..

i have a missing somethin in civil 3d which is define parcels elevation according to corridor level Can it be done or isnt a feature in civil 3d..

i need to make a master plan and all features are get coordinated with each others.. such as parcel level (or elevation) is defined from curbcut entry ..

Is it possible or not ?? please clarify

Many thanks

You can pick the parcel object and then use Raise/Lower by Reference tool. Pick a point on the corridor as the corridor reference point, a parcel vertex as the feature reference point and then specify a grade, slope or difference in elevation. They will not remain dynamically linked to the corridor, but this is an easy way to set them.

Optionally, you could build the parcel grading into the corridor using subassemblies, but I prefer the previous method.

Others who have more grading experience than I can probably give more detailed advice.

Best regards,

Tim

Many thanks Eng.tcory for your quickly response.

I tried the first method and i think it has a problem.. may be if i change the corridor level according to profile the parcel elevation wil not be changed isnt correct ??

So the second way i dont know how it can be done.. if you have any tutorial about this method i will be pleased..

Again many thanks and good luck

I'd create a polyline representing the edge of the lots, then a profile that represents the elevation of the lots that shows up in the profile view along with my centerline alignment. Then when I want to adjust my centerline profile I go ahead and adjust my lot profile. In my corridor I include links for both to the lot edge and then target the back of lot assigning the correct targets.

There also is class called Civil 3D® Caffeinated Tips and Tricks: A Yard Sale that has a lisp routine that sets the pad elevations by selecting points on a corridor surface. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the link to lisp commands, but I did find the link to the class video:
