Parcel Reference

Here is one that I cannot find mentioned in the discussion group archive but am sure many others would have the same question. Is there a way to create either a data shortcut or a vault object reference to a parcel, collection of parcels or sites? I can't seem to find an answer to this simple question -- other than it cannot be done. If it cannot be done, can anyone provide insight on why this is the case? Will future versions include this capability? This would be really nice.

To answer your questions (as regarding Vault)

no, it cannot be done.+

Pretty much because Autodesk says so. Seriously. I've asked this
same question.

Maybe, maybe not. If we knew, we couldn't tell you, and if we told
you, then you could rest assured that we didn't know.

I agree, it would be nice. It's been asked for.

I've heard a rather non commital comment by some folks at Autodesk that they want all objects to be able to be shared via vault/shortcuts.

It would be great if all objects could be properly referenced. Can the Autodesk guys confirm that they are working towards this end?? We know you are watching!!
