Does anyone out there know what setting/toggle needs to be turned on to preview the list of parcels in a site? I have a user who clicks on the parcels heading in his site and doesn't see a preview of the list:
Please don't confuse this with the parcel preview when you actually click on the name of the parcel. That I do know how to toggle on. We're just looking for the list.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
A screen capture of the other users Prospector where list doesn't display from within same drawing shown might help.
The simplest thought - is it possible that the "separator" margin is down at the very bottom of Prospector and needs to be dragged upward?
The Preview Pane can easily be hidden unintentionally.
On other possibility is every column in the preview list are can be hidden by right clicking on column headings.
The columns can all be displayed by clicking on banner above preview & selecting "show all columns"
In this case you'd be seeing horizontal grid lines in preview area now.
Jay,
Sorry, I guess I should have posted that image as well. I had to run to the other computer to get it. Here it is:
It looks like your using 2013 version?
If so do both have the same Updates?
I've tested it in 2013 and 2014 with the same results. Yes, they both have updates installed.
What happens if you try to view other normal info that should appear in Preview Pane such as Survey Points or Figures from a Survey Database etc.on the problem machine ?
It appears the issue is only with parcels. We can see point data fine.
We're going to try to unintall and reinstall the service packs.
That's exaclty what's happening! ! ! ! I'll try the REGEDIT solution and see if that works.
Thanks for the update.
This was a bug with Civil 3D 2013. It was fixed with service pack 2.
Here is a link to a forum discussion on how to manually fix this issue: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D-General/Toolspace-Item-View-not-working-properly/m-p/...
The user has SP2 installed. We're in the process of uninstalling it and reinstalling it to see if it was maybe not installed properly.
