POINTS -- Edit Raw Description

Here is a point whose raw description must be changed. This is part of a set of points imported via a text file.

Note that the point is not locked, but the raw description is grayed and thus inaccessible.

How can we edit the raw description of this point?Edit Raw Description 01 Apr 2014.jpg

It appears this point was created using Survey DB.  You can edit the raw description in the Survey DB but not within the plain old cogo points.

McL,

Greyed-out means the point is in your Survey Database and not editable in the Properties Dialogue Box.

If you have the survey database open for edit, you can right click the point in question and choose "Edit Survey Point Properties...". A window will come up that will allow you to edit the raw descriptin for both the database and the drawing. Once you click ok you will have the opportunity to select another point for edit. If you hit enter again you will be asked if you want update linework.
