PARCEL STYLES

In the JPG appended below showing the parcel area label styles setup, you can see that I've set my labels to appear on a layer called 01 Parcel Name and Label, and that this layer is a sort of ORANGE.

I have set the label color to BYLAYER.

Nonetheless, the image shown retains a WHITE label text.

What have I done wrong?

Thanks!

Have you labeled a parcel with that style? The Preview doesn't reflect the layer color...in this image my layer C-PROP-TEXT is red, so the label is correct even though the preview is not.

Thanks, Jeff M. That seems to be the case here also. Oddly, other text elements when set in the style subroutines do seem to appear in the display windows, hence my confusion.
