Old drawing with no coordinate, want to place into a drawing with coordinate

I have a old drawing that is not in a coordinate system. I want to place this drawing with a coordinate system.  I'm using parcels to line up the items.  I can not get them to line up, I think that since one is a flat drawing and one is on the coordinate system.  I could I get these two drawings to line up?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

as long as there are just linear calculations (2D) to be done you can do the following steps:

  • insert your old drawing into the current one (near the destination area)
  • explode it if you don't want to have this as block
  • run the command _ALIGN (>>>details<<<), there you can select objects to be linear transformed and show points for calculation of move/rotate/scale

Good luck, - alfred -
