Offset Assembly Help!

How come I cannot attach generic links to offset assemblies?  Every other subassembly works except for generic links.  Im pretty sure Im missing something here.  Help would be much appreciated.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by not being able to attach a generic link to an offset assembly - I just tried it and had no issues attaching a generic link. You can see the video of me attempting this here. Can you take a look at this and let me know what I might be doing differently from your workflow?

Hi Jason,  after banging my head against my desk I finally figured out the issue.  My offset alignment is not parallel to my main alignment.  So in reality it was doing the links, I just wasn't seeing in the cross sections.  When I went to the corridor editor sections I was able to see it if I switched to the assembly offset baseline.  This explains why when I was'n t assigning an alignment to the offset worked.

Any reason why this is this way? (add to wishlist please).  I just don't understand why a regular lane assembly would display in a section view and a generic link won't.
