Offset Alignment

I'm trying to create two offset alignments (one on each side of my centerline alignment).  For some reason I can only create an offset alignment on the left side of my CL alignment, but not the right side.  Any ideas?

Can you show a screen capture of what your dialog looks like with all of the parameters?

Screen shot of parameters attached.  Like I said, the left alignment will be created 150' offset from the CL but the right one will not.  I've tried creating them at the same time (like shown in the attachment) and separately.  I've installed all the most recent service packs, restarted my computer, and still nothing.

Weird.  Have you tried small offset values to see if that would work?  Can you attach the DWG?  What C3D version?

I thought of that too and tried offsetting 10'... same result.  Using Civil 3D 2012.  Attached is drawing.

It worked fine for me using smaller radii.  Anyway, your problem is you have one radius that is 150, thus offsteting 150 is problematic.  if you make that first curve more than 150 you will be able to do it.

The problem is caused by your very first curve, which is 150' radius, the same as your offset. If you change that to 160' radius (or even 151',) the offset works fine.

I was able to offset 10' no problem and was able to offset 150' after changing the radius of the first curve to some number larger than the offset.

Best regards,

Tim

Thanks to both mathewk and tcorey.  I see now why I was having that problem.
