OT: A Change

After almost nine years in the private land development field, transitioning
from R13 to TerraModel to LDT to Civil 3D at Jones & Boyd, Inc., it is time
for me to move on. It is with anticipation of great things that I am
partnering with Mark Scacco, P.E. and Engineered Efficiency, Inc. I think
the attitude and commitment to professional service at 2EI follow in the
same principals that I have attempted to follow during my time at Jones &
Boyd, Inc.

Effective February 10th, I will no longer be an Associate at Jones & Boyd,
Inc, but look forward to being your consultant instead. I hope to continue
to actively work in these groups to offer what assistance and insight I may.
I also hope that I will get the opportunity to partner with many of you to
make your firm's transition or training in Civil 3D a success.

Please feel free to contact me at james.wedding@ee2inc if I may provide you
a proposal for services, or just to discuss this change. My wedding@gmail
address is also available if you prefer.

I look forward to amazing years ahead as we all continue to learn and
explore what great software and great minds can accomplish. Thank you for
allowing me to violate the newsgroup's rules! I'll take my slap on the wrist
now.

Sincerely,
James Wedding, P.E.

Congratulations James and best of luck working with Mark.

I believe however, that you're stepping over the line when using this forum to advertise your services.

You may want to check out the ground rules for discussion group posting.

"Post relevant advertisements and other types of promotional messages only to the Classifieds discussion group."

Otherwise this area will be filled with advertisements that take away from the purpose of the forum - which is to exchange knowledge.

I know, and you'll never see me do it again. I even admitted I was violating
the rules.

Take a look at my posts for the last few years, I think I've earned one get
out of jail free card.

Hi Andrew,

In this case, there is an exchange of knowledge. There are very many
readers who rely on James to help them and we can look at this as advice on
how to contact him.

Like many others here I greatly appreciate the contributions by James to the
group and wish him success in his new enterprise.

I too have been helped tremendously by James on numerous things whether he knows it or not. If you spent anytime in here you would know what a help he has been. Cut the guy some slack.

Good Luck James, I hope you still have time to join in on the discussion groups, you help a lot of people like me who are just getting started with Civil 3D. And I don't see anything wrong with you letting the people on here know where you are going.
Thanks for all your help

Amen to that. Just the "House of Style" White Paper gives you free
advertising in my opinion. Not to mention, if we didn't know what people
like you and Laurie were doing, and where we could get to your information,
this newsgroup would be pretty bland.
