OLE Plotting Colors Inverted

We use Excel quite often in Civil 3d. Every now and then a system or drawing will randomly begin printing the OLE with inverted colors. ie black box with white text. Restarting sometimes helps.. Sometimes not. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a variable for it?

What plotter do you use and what Plot Style type (CTB or STB)? Can you plot preview and then plot it using DWG to PDF.pc3. Do you still get the same results? 

Also, if you select your OLE object in your drawing, right-click and go Properties. Then see if you can change your Plot Quality to Monochrome. Will that work?
