New to Fieldbooks in Civil 3D

Can you utilize fieldbooks in Civil 3D if you don't have Vault installed?

Can anybody recommend documentation on how to get started with using fieldbooks?

Yes, fieldbooks are the Autodesk files used to import raw data collected in
the field. There are three Add-ons for Civil 3D that will help you convert
your raw data to the FBK file format.

Go here for those add ons -
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=5303652

As far as working with the format, see the help system first; just search on
fieldbook. Then take a look at the technical solutions in the Knowledge
base here: www.autodesk.com/support but instead of searching on Civil 3D,
search on Autodesk Survey, which is the legacy product that the fieldbook
file came from.

Hope that helps.
