My dilemma.....

When I try to get to my layer properties manager dialog box...I click on the icon and it makes civil 3d a non-active window. and it sits there as it is waiting for the dialog box to open, but it never does. this also happens if i right click on a layout tab and select move or copy... i have spent the better part of two hours trying to figure it out. any help is appreciated.

The layer properties manager dialog box is open, just off the screen where you can't see it. Try pressing Alt+Spacebar, then M, then an arrow key. The layer properties should jump to the mouse icon.
