Multiple profile padding/profile clip

I see from other posts that adding grid padding to multiple profile views doesn't work. I'm wondering if there's a way to display segments of profiles  in a profile view that is longer so that I can have only 100m of a profile show up centered in a 400m long profile view (400m is roughly the length  of our contract sheets at 1:500).

I can come up with 2 workarounds but I'd like to automate it as much as possible.

1. apply gridlines to my titleblock and add the vertical grid annotation manually in paperspace. 
2. apply sufficient enough overlap to center my desired segment and then add a wipeout between the profiles and the profile view to mask unwanted profile on specific sheets.
