Missing Civil 3D Objects, Gradings, Corridors, Feature Lines etc.

Several of our Designers have been finding that Civil 3D objects such as Gradings, Corridors and Feature Lines will go missing during the save process. Typically, everything seems OK and they will save the file on the network at the end of the day. When they open the project the next day random Civil 3D objects will be missing.

Extra Info:

- We currently work on a shared network.

- The missing Gradings are usually more complex ones...

- Sometimes we are able to 'bring back' the objects by relaunching Civil 3D, other times they are gone for good.

- We have also lost entire Corridors etc.

Thanks.

Ross.

Not sure why it would be turning off, but one thing to check is the "Display" command.

Type DISPLAY, then choose SETS... Click on Plan, then Right click on the "General" tab and choose "Select All".

Thanks. I will take a look next time we are having display issues with our Civil 3D objects. I didn't even know there was a Display Manager!

Unfortunately, most times we have a problem we seem to actually lose the Civil 3D objects (ie. they don't exist at all within the drawing and don't show in the Prospector).

Does anyone else have similar issues?

You may also wish to apply some best practices when working with complex grading. Audit and save often.

Make sure there's no overlapping feature lines that may get into another sites. See undocumented commands on feature line below:
