Material does not show in the layout - but shows in the obJect viewer

Hi again,

Attach is the a showing 3 surfaces on a site . How do i embed a  material on a surface on the layout page/mode.

In Object viewer it shows clearly the rock material on the surface.

I assume that the rock is being displayed using the Render Material property for the surface.  In order to display the render material you have to switch the visual style to one that can show materials.  The object viewer has a separate control for this, so it will display materials, but your viewport is probably using 2d wireframe which does not.

Try changing the visual style in your viewport to Realistic and see what happens.
