List slope

I am looking for a simple list slope command that will work on any object.
Not just C3D objects. I have a "List Slope" icon on the Input and Inquiry
toolbar that references an undefined command.

Command: _mapcgslist Unknown command "MAPCGSLIST". Press F1 for help.

I also can't find anything in help on this.

How can I get a simple slope listing?

Thanks Jeff. That's just what I needed. Help just leads me to the Survey
Workspace commands or the Inquiry Toolspace.

Strange but I just did a full blown uninstall & reinstall (LDT sp2) & my
toolbar buttons have the command wrong by default.

cgslist works much better than mapcgslist.

Hi John,

The List Slope tool is one of the LDT tools that I was hoping for in C3D,
but apparently it is not included. (See my post entitled "What LDT tools do
you miss?" dated 11/16/06). Apparently Jeff Mishler has put together
something (no surprise!). I hope I don't get myself into trouble mentioning
this, but I took one of Dave Garranges (sp?) Civil 3D grading classes at AU
last month and he offered to put together a macro for any tools that we felt
we were missing from LDT. This is one tool I feel we really need. Perhaps if
you made a post addressed to him he might come up with something as well
(and get it into the ADESK developers loop).

Just curious, does this mysterious List Slope command word on C3D objects as
well?

John, I just had to get one of our GIS staff up and running with a new computer, hence a new install of Civil 3D 2007. I found that a number of painful toolbar problems in her case were fixed by mapping the Main Customisation file to acmap.cui. The problem is that acad.cui and acmap.cui (in my experience) have a real issue talking to each other; don't know why that would be the case.

Anyway, you might want to check that your Main Customisation file is civil.cui and not acad.cui. Just a possibility voiced by one who still doesn't quite follow the new customisation setup...

HTH,
Trevor

Thank-you all for replying.

That slope command works on any two points on any object. I used it
yesterday on a corridor, feature lines, 2d plines, lines & C3d points. I
have seen some of the issues with the Acad & Map cui's. Most issues I saw
were fixed w/ SP3 but this one got left in the dust. All I had to do to get
the slope command to work was go into the Acad.cui file and remove the MAP
prefix from the command macro. Mine read mapcgslist, I changed it to cgslist
and all works well. This is a replication of the LDT List Slope command so I
don't really see a need bother Dave G. with this one.

Hi Neil,
While I admit to making customizations when I feel the need, I have to say
that with this one I cannot take any credit. That command is just as it was
installed with my C3D. Why it shows up fine in my menu but did not in John's
case (and evidently yours?) I'm not sure.

I am very pleased to see that the tool is indeed included in C3D. This makes
me wonder what other LDT tools might be hidden in the software. Is there any
documentation on these tools you guys are finding?

Actually I re-read the post and realized that Jeff. Just the same you have
been a great help with your programming skills and I think you deserve free
Big Mac meal.
