I am designing a surface ditch along a road. I am using an alignment that is on the edge of the road and then creating my assembly so it only goes one direction away from the road but then I would like to link the depth and distance away from the road by the ground level or actually another alignment. So I am trying to link to two different alignments in the same assembly to create my corridor. Is this possible and what subassembly do I need to complete this. Someone said to use link slope to elevation but that appears to only allow me to enter one elevation and I want that elevation to follow my profile.

It sounds like you have an alignment that will control the start of the assembly and you have another alignment that you want to use as a horizontal and vertical target. Correct?
Make sure both alignments have profiles (to provide the elevations required), add a "Link Offset and Elevation" subassembly and then in the corridor properties, you'll have options to set your targets.
In this case you're looking for Offset Alignment and Elevation Profile.
