Label single Lines, Arcs

Is there a way to label single lines and arcs with bearing, distance, etc.
without it being defined as a parcel? I have boundarys defined as parcels
and they label fine. I need to label section lines, and partial line/arc
segments within the parcel.

No, there is not. You can make a single line into a parcel segment and label
it.

I'm new to this Civil 3D and I'm in the middel of trying to label only a line. Is there a quick meathod to this "single line into a parcel segment and label it."

I've heard rumors this is being added/fixed in 2007.

There a lot of people wanting the simple LDT labeling functionality. For the quick and simple labeling of lines/arc and not just objects..

Not that I've seen or heard of. This came into play recently while I was trying to put together a filing plat for a subdivision. There are labeling requirements here that C3D just can't handle yet so I took the drawing back into LDD and label the lines. It works fine for now but I know that the C3D folks have heard about this and are aware of the problem.
