LDT/ C3D subscription

Does the Land Desktop subcription come with Civil 3D? I thought it did at
one time.

You'll have to upgrade your LDT license to C3D, then that will come with
"Land Desktop Companion"

So, the C3D subscription comes with LDT?
But not the other way around.

Actually, if you have been on subscription with LDT for any significant
length of time (years), then you probably don't own LDT... you own C3D.
They converted the licenses.

they only converted over the civil design's to civil3d.
land is still land.
so if you had 20 land licenses and 3 civil designs
you would end up with 3 c3d and 17 land
i think.

The company I am with plans on adding a LDT subscription to our current
subscription. I told them that I thought that C3D and LDT were the same
subsciption. I think that we really just need the C3D (we currently have
both but mainly use C3D).

Talk to your reseller to verify... but heres what i understand for networked licenses.
Civil3d comes with Land Companion (which is Land Desktop)
but the land companion runs off a Civil3d License.
Land Desktop runs off a Land Desktop license.
so machines with Land Companion can only pull licenses from the Civil3D pool.
and machines with Land Desktop can only pull from the Land Desktop pool.
this makes you have to really think about who gets what when having a mixed Land/C3D enviroment.
You can not have Land Companion and Land Desktop installed on the same machine.

again i recommend talking to your reseller and explain what you would like to do, hopefully they will have a good solution for you. Message was edited by: kbellson

Hopefully most people took advantage of the promo that they were offering a
while back - the upgrade was like a hundred bucks to turn land into c3d.
