Okay so LDD 09 will no longer be supported by why do we get a new version included with C3D 2013?
The install package is larger than the original so there are some differences. Anyone got a clue on this?

when you downloaded it did you use the download manager?
if you did that is why the download looks bigger its actually downloading and extracting the files at the same time

This is probably to cover people who may just be upgrading from some version of LDT. Without LDC you have no way of upgrading older files to a version that can be imported to Civil 3D. By older files I mean from back when it was Softdesk or early LDT and they were proprietary databases.
I've had discussions with my reseller and others about how this might be handled. I presume that since they're allowing downloads with 2013. There won't be any problem authorizing it or getting a network license file for it. That's good news for those of us who still have the older jobs archived.

Hey Darren. Yes I did use the download manager. I chose the C3D 2013 download and when I went to C:|Autodesk (the default save to path) I saw a folder for LDD 09 along with the C3D folder.

It was always available as a separate download from the subscription center. The new package is larger. I was just curious as to why it is now easier to get when they want the remaining folks to migrate or if there is something different about the package.
