Has C3D 2007 came up with a better way of doing intersections, besides
making a bunch of alignments, or buying a 3rd party software?

That'd be "no"

Still requires the same amount of steps. The good news is that the
surface is now dynamic with the intersection, but they're still a PITA
to build.

there are some labels and tricks that make them easier to digest, though.
