Intersecting Curve Lengths

I am drawing a profile and I want to have to curve lengths intersect each other. When I try this I get an error message stating it could not solve. For example if I have a PVI station at 50+00 and 100+00 and I want a 50' profile curve length at both stations, I am not able to do this b/c the curve lengths would intersect. Does anyone know any way around this?
Thanks.

You always neglect to give the version of Civil3D you are using.

I am using service pack 3. Sorry about that.

But in this case that really doesn't matter......although it should be SOP
to incluse your version & SP when posting a question.

At any rate, C3D cannot work with reverse or compound vertical curves. I saw
a post by Dan P. that said something about a future release for this......

Try seperating them by a very small amount.....0.001.....to allow for a
piece of tangent slope. No one will know the difference.......and you'll
have the added benefit of having the tangent Slope labelled for you
(providing slope labels are on).

The PVI based curves can't be back to back, but if you use one of the new
Free or Floating parabolic vertical curves in 2007 you can get what you are
looking for.

Jeff,

Version and service pack info matters because C3D 2007 added support for
compound and reverse parabolic curves in profiles.
