Is there a way to insert points from the survey database by window or point numbers. I think the answer is no based on my research but am hoping. Point numbers would be something like 6-7, 1110 , 1281-1292 , 1298-1306 , 1856 , 1859 , 2127 , 2130-2132 , 2151 , 2197 , 2200-2205 , 2307 , 2385-2390 , 2476-2480 , 2482-2485 , 2503-2514 , 2516-2517 , 2589-2591 , 2594-2622 , 2624-2650 , 2667-2686 , 2701-2704 , 2706-2714 , 2735-2816 , 2818-2827 , 2839-2865

You could create a survey point group then insert that into the drawing.
Thanks for the reply. I would then have to select (check) each point individually to place it in the group, unless I’m missing something. I was hoping for something quicker. In point groupes I could have selected via window or copied pasted the numbers to make these part of the group. Wish the database would include similar features.
You could also do a survey query to bring them into a drawing.
I was looking at that but did not see a way to select by window or range of points. Am I missing something with the survey query?
You could insert all the points from the Survey Database, then once they became COGO points you could window a Point Group together and delete everything else.

From the survey query window, under points, you can query points based on point numbers greater than, equal to, less than, etc. Just make a bunch of property queries with AND as the operator to select the points you want. This also allows you to pick other properties, such as description, elevation, and even user defined properties. You can preview the query results in the panorama and even bring them into the drawing.
I had considered that too but there are times when inserting all and removing unwanteed wanted work well either.
I had considered the query with point numbers too. If I understand the query correctly we would need to create several ranges. I was hoping for something that could be done quick like a copy/paste. Also the windows would have been great. Seems like we will be forced to add steps to do something that could have been done in one with LD.
I appreciate the input

I agree that the lack of being able to create survey database point groups from a selection set is a step backwards from LDD. That's one reason why many think Autodesk doesn't care about surveying since the only innovation with that side of it has been survey queries. The past three releases of C3D have all had serious bugs with the surveying side on release that preclude its use for real world work.
