Importing points and point clouds

Im running AutoCAD Civils 3D 2013 on a windows 8 pc and AutoCAD keeps shutting down when importing points and point clouds to create surfaces. Does anyone know what could be causing this? The file sizes are quite small less than 2mb in size and my computer is an Intel i5 with 6GB RAM.

the fact that you're running C3D on a unsupported operating system is causing it. go back to windows 7 until c3d supports windows 8.

You can also Search the groups for more information. Some have reported success in running on Windows 8 by following some steps.

Window 8 operating system does not support. I had simillar problems so i switched back to windows 7. It works great on Windows 7,
