I have copied the properties from the line into excel spread sheet and created a point file with lat longs and saved it as a .csv file. Then when i proceed to import this into CAD I get error message saying no points were transfered from source. I cannot seem to figure out my problem.
You'll need to create a new Point File format with LAT and LONG as the file format.

Please run _MAPIMPORT on my attachment: is it what you're after, sir?
Which Lat and Long option are you using in the creation of the new point file format? You should be using the DECDEG LAT and LONG.
How do I run the mapimport command? Do I run this on your shape file or which file? My point is in Lat Long not northings and eastings and thats the only things Im getting options for.
I am using Lat Long DECDEG and thats when I am getting the error message.
This is one way I did it. Used LL84 since I didn't know what system. BTW. I'm getting the same results as you in Civil 3D, tried a couple of formats. It just doesn't like the file.

You should simply type MAPIMPORT at the command prompt (if you haven't one, press CTRL-9).
To load the full PENZD object data, do as follows:
Much better. I got it to insert so you don't have to use the link.
