Importing Surface from 3d faces

I have a TIN surface defined by Acad 3d-faces from one of the "other" civil packages. What is the procedure for importing/transforming this dwg to a surface in Civil 3D-2006?

How about exporting to LandXML from the "other" civil package and then
import into Civil 3D?

Mark,

Make a new surface, and then add the 3d faces to the surface inside of
"Prospector" Surface->definition->Drawing Objects. Select 3D Faces, you can
also maintain the edges from the faces so the DTM will match the triangles
directly.
