Does anyone know if you can still import a google earth image into civil 3d 2013 and if so what are the steps to do so.

Short Answer = No.

Why they took away a tool that was completely 100% useful, we will never know.

I think the jury is still out on who they is(are).

Ah, you discovered my trick, Mr. wfberry!

As long as I say "they," no matter who "they" is, I can't be wrong!

In any event, I was sad to hear that it is not part of C3D 2013.

Officially, they said "Due to limitations on the use of the Google Earth API...", but in my opinion, the reason is quite different.

I think the GE extension is actually too inaccurate for productive purposes, so Autodesk retires this tool to improve it until will be really useful.
