Hi,

global question .... global answer: have you got a training ... or at least have you looked into the help and the (imho very good) tutorials?

And if you want to get it presented, what's about >>>this<<<

To get an answer for a detailed question/problem is much easier for a forum than to answer global questions. What I could do is now to take the help-file and copy it as answer here ... makes no sense (ask for you understanding).

If you are aware of how to import points/how to build a surface, but you have a specific problem (fileformat, errormessage, ...) feel free to ask again.

Without being able to actually see that data file, it's hard to say exactly what you have.  Sounds like you might actually be looking at fieldbook data, instead of just a point file, as I believe point files consist of coordinates and descriptions, not bearings and distances.  Correct me if I am wrong.

If you are having problems importing the data file, perhaps you can attach the file so others can see if they can figure out what is going on.

Hi Gjrmb,

Yes you are right, I should write Data and not Point Data. Thank you for correcting me.

Fyi, I received a field book which consists of data in bearings and dstances.

Thanks for all information provided.
