You generally need to transfer two files, your profile and cuix file.

From your old computer:

Export your profile: Command line-->OPTIONS--> Profile (TAB)--> Select your profile --> Export

Under the Files (TAB), the path for the C3D.cuix file is shown (under Customization Files--> Main Customization Files)

Copy the file (with Windows Explorer) to a location accessible to your laptop.

On your laptop:

Command line-->OPTIONS--> Profile (TAB)--> Import (browse to your file) . select the profile and click the Set Current.

You may see missing file errors on the command line, which is OK for now.

Paste the C3D.cuix file (with Windows Explorer) to the location shown Under the Files (TAB) (under Customization Files--> Main Customization Files). Things probably still don't look right yet.

Close AutoCAD.

On your desktop:

If your profile name is not "<<C3D_Imperial>>"  you will have to change your desktop icon Target field code (the last part) with your profile name so it will default load when you open AutoCAD Civil 3D. To do this, Right click on your icon--> properties.

Open AutoCAD.

The end result should look at least close to your original setup.
