Grade feature lines to one another

I have two feature lines I want to grade towards each other at different grades until they meet. Is this possible, and if so, how? Thanks.

You need to give a little more destail. Are you wanting to set the elvation of one from the other? See the elevation editing tool on the ribbon

Yes, this is possible.

 

Be sure both gradings are in the same grading group. If so, the slopes will intersect automatically if they overlap.

Okay, I've attached a graphic. I have a CL of a channel and the edges of the lake it runs through. I want to grade out from the channel at 10:1 and in from the edges at 4:1 to a point where they would meet. I'm not having any luck w/ anything I've tried. I welcome all suggestions. Thanks.

One thing I would not do is attach a grading to those squiggly outside feature lines.
Are you looking to set the grade of any/all of those feature lines?

Gradings don't like going around the concave segment. Thats a challenge alright. There is a way just gotta figure out how civil3d want to do it.

Maybe a corridor with some kind of condition daylight to ROW thingy?

So it is. I just hadn't converted it yet. I was having issues trying to the Westerly-Southerly side to work and never tried that side.

I had a very similar situation just a couple months ago.  I used a grading object from the outer boundary and then exploded it to polylines so that I could "clean it up".  Because it's so jagged, the resulting grading object had a LOT of crossing lines which C3D doesn't like.

Just a thought, it's a bit of a work-around but it might work.

You could have your two feature lines (your banks I believe) and grade it down at 4:1; but you'd have to make it extend relatively far. This will make everything slope down away from the bank, but not necessarily towards the CL (especially the meander at your southern bank).

Then you create a separate grading group (or corridor) that daylights to the first surface.

Make a new surface and paste surface 2 on the Surface 1 and (in my head anyway) it should get what you want

I, like you have an issue with the meandering portion.
I closed the TOB artificially, added an infill, then the 10:1 gradings with variable width, thus lettin the TOB be approximate 4:1

Another option is to model each of the slope surfaces separately and then use the Analyze > Ground Data > Minimum Distance Between Surfaces command.  This will generate a 3D polyline where the selected surfaces intersect.  You can then use the 3D Polylines as breakline data in your final surface.

 

The following images show this done with two different slope surfaces.
