General Bearing and Distance Labels

Hi,

I'm doing some quickie deed plots. When I am adding general labels for lines
and curves, they look fine. But when I move the deed plot to another part of
the screen, the labels all shoot to the endpoints of each line segment. Any
ideas on what controls this?

Hi, Rick.
I'm not sure about that but try this way.

Toolspace > settings tab
Alignments > Label Styles > Line
Right click the style in use > Edit
In General tab select "Object" under Orientation Reference.

If it's correct do the same to Curve label style and Spiral label style.

Rick:

I seem to remember that moving with a crossing window worked OK.
(You probably don't want to isolate, but it works good with ET's isolate.)
