Long time forum helper/poster, Richard 'Sinc' Sincovec was admitted to the hospital in pretty bad shape last night with an illness affecting his liver and kidneys. Please, whatever prayers, thoughts, vibes, you can send his way, his family and myself would appreciate them.
When I know more, I will post more.

Jeff, thanks for updating with this very sad news - please pass on my sincere condolences to his family.
I never met Sinc but I still use the Civil 3D tricks and tips that I picked up from the videos that he posted.

Thanks for letting us know Jeff. Many of us considered Richard a valuable colleague and friend, even though we had never met him in person. I certainly did! I know you'll let his family know how well respected and liked he was on these groups.
God bless him, his family and friends and all those suffering in a season that should be a time of joy.

I'm so sorry. I can't begin to imagine how you and Richard's family are feeling right now, Richard was a phenomenal person, both in person and on these forums so his prescence will be greatly missed.
When you know, please let us know where we can send cards, flowers, or whatever Richard's family would like. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to offer condolences past here.
And I learnt this morning that I am an emotional community manager. Definitely crying in front of my computer...
Never meet sink but he will be missed as a valuble contributor to the forum. I have experienced the loss of a loved one this year and it is a difficult time for the ones left behind. We will be praying for the family that they will feel the love grace and comfort of god in this time of loss.
We will miss you here Richard aka Sinc.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family as they cope with your untimely passing.

We are all diminshed at the loss of a font of wisdom. His quick sharp wit and deep insights will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family on their loss at what should be a time of celebration. As Sinc logs onto that great gig in the sky, he will be sorely missed down here......
What I liked about Sinc was his passion for his work and his want to help and advise others. He was a classy guy in that way.
We can all take solace in knowing Sinc will live on through his software and through his postings. Future generations of Civil 3Ders will continue to benefit.
With condolences,
Tim
Very sad news, I just met Richard last year at AU. He will have to help guide us along in the next life. Very emotional times for everyone. RIP "Sinc"
I never had a privilege meeting Richard in person but can tell that I have learned a lot from his posts here on Forums, as well as on http://www.ejsurveying.com/ website. Sync’s directness, knowledge and expertise will be missed here at Autodesk and in the entire Civil community and I know that his absence will be very noticeable here on Forums.
RIP “Sync” you will be greatly missed!
Rest in peace Sinc. I'm happy to have met you. Your persona was as infectious and your contribution will be missed. Your free from gravity Richard... Sail free.

It's always hard when we lose community members. I've gone through this more times than I care to recall, and it never gets any easier.
Our Autodesk Support family paid close attention to Sinc, and referred users to some of his articles regularly. Sinc knew surveying and Civil 3D like no one else, and the industry will mourn our loss. I feel as if we learned more from Sinc than he ever learned from us. I met him in Las Vegas a few years back and really had a great time talking to him and finally putting a face and voice to the online persona.
Jeff - thank you for keeping me updated via email since I don't get the opportunity to visit this forum that much anymore. I've kept our team informed and we are all reeling from the news this morning. I'm glad that I got to talk with you in Las Vegas and sign the card - I hope he got some happiness from reading the well wishes from his fans.
Peace be with us all.
RIP Sinc - see you in another life.
Thanks for all the advice and knowledge posted in these forums and beyond over the years.
Condolences to all his family and friends, from this little guy in NZ.
Rest in Peace good Sir. God bless your family and good friends.
Fred
A great person and mentor has gone, but his words and deeds live on here in our community; for that I am thankful. And that I was able to meet him last year.
To Richard's family - you know already about him as a person, but here you will find a testimony to the lives he touched and the knowledge he shared. Peace be with you through this difficult transition.
Saddened to hear of Sinc's passing.
Although I did not know him personally I learnt a great deal from the knowledge he shared.
My condolences to his family and friends.
