Feature line question

Can you convert a feature line to a 3d polyline? I converted a 3d poly to feature to offset it and now I need to trim it but you can't trim feature lines..

Actually, you can trim a feature line.  The command is trimfeatures.  Not sure where it is on the ribbons though...

Select the feature line and the contextual ribbon shows the edit options.  Select Edit Geometry and you'll find it here.

To answer the other question, simply explode the feature line and you'll have a 3d polyline.
