Fatal Error when using OSNAP in profile view (2011)

C3D2011 - current updates.  Running object snaps are disabled.

When working inside a profile view, using any command (regular AutoCAD command or a C3D command)... if I enable an object snap, and then move the cursor so that it hovers over the intersection of a grid line and the profile line - I get a fatal error.... every time.

See http://cadpanacea.com/tmp/sample/profileviewfatalerror.swf for an animation of this.

Anyone else seen this?

R.K.

If you like, I would be glad to run it through my computer to perhaps see if it is drawing specific, etc.  I still have 2011 loaded.

Hello,

I tried using one of the tutorial drawings (Profile-3B.dwg) on machines running Civil 3D 2011 Update 2 and Update 1 and did not see the issue.  Can you post your drawing or try tutorial DWG again?

I am having this same exact issue but in Civil 3D 2022.

Out of the 28 profiles I have in my base drawing, three of them chronically crash when attempting to copy an entity into the view with Osnaps on.

Perhaps using Osnaps in profile views are on an 11-year crashing schedule?
