Expressions

So I just studying up on Expressions and how they work.  I am a novice so please bear with me.  I want create a label that will give me the cover between the design profile and the pipe at any point along the pipe.  If it can't calculated I would like to at least show the profile elevation and then the pipe elevation at any given point along the pipe.

I can figure out how to create an expression but how can I get another label style in another setting group to see an expression I made in a previous.   Ex. the following video shows somebody creating a Profile-Horizontal-Geometry-Expression which he then uses in an Alignment-Station-Offset-Label.

When I try it I can create the Profile-Horizontal-Geometry-Expression but can't see it in the Alignment-Station-Offset-Label.

VIDEO of example:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MDLLvUjfU8

Any help would be appreciated.

Kindest Regards

I didn't watch the video, but I have used a profile expression in an alignment label. You have to add a reference text component to reference the profile, within the alignment label.
I'm not sure how that translates to your pipe & profile conundrum.
