Exporttoautocad

Hi,

I am having an issue with export to Autocad command.

The command allows me to select my options of format, filename and location but doesn't create a file.

I'm new to Civil3d so its very possible I'm doing/not doing something basic.

The file I'm attemting to convert to Autocad is constructed from data links if that matters. (existing+proposed surfaces, alignment and sections)

Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

thanks

Sean

I sometimes encounter problems if the dwg has xrefs in it - trying binding them all if you have any

Hi Neilyj,
Thank you for replying. I noticed other posts had problems with xrefs but my drawing is xref free.
thanks

I rarely (if ever) get the command to work. I create a copy or the drawing and use AECOBJEXPLODE. Then either Saveback or WBlock to a previous version if needed.

I'd agree with Allen and say that EXPORTTOAUTOCAD can be a bit of a buggy command that may or may not work every time

Thank you,
that suggestion suited my purpose. (sending drawing to AC2008 user) I don't envy him the tidy up, but at least he has the information.
